About the Show

The Bandwich Tapes is a podcast about music, creativity, and the people who dedicate their lives to making it.

I started this podcast as a way to stay connected with the incredible people I’ve met along the way in my musical journey. Many of my guests are friends and collaborators from gigs, sessions, and projects that have shaped who I am as both a musician and a listener. Others are artists who have influenced me deeply, musicians I’ve admired for years, or even new voices I’ve recently become a fan of.

These conversations go beyond surface-level interviews. We talk about the stories behind the music, the creative process, the realities of life on the road and in the studio, and the lessons learned along the way. What often emerges is a deeper look at craft, perseverance, collaboration, and the power of music to connect people.

Whether you're a musician, a devoted listener, or simply someone who loves hearing how creative lives unfold, The Bandwich Tapes is my way of sharing honest conversations about music and the journeys behind it.

About the Host

I’m Brad Williams, a musician based in St. Louis, Missouri. As a drummer, bass player, and singer, I’ve spent years performing, collaborating, and learning from the many artists who have shaped my musical life.

Music has been part of my life from the very beginning. I grew up in a family of instrumentalists and singers, recorded my first album at the age of five, and another at eleven. Percussion became my passion in middle school and carried me into years of study and performance.

I had the privilege of studying music at Brevard Music Center, Chautauqua Institution, and Belmont University, where I learned from incredible teachers including Steve Pharris, Tim Howard, John Mote, Jack Bell, Massie Johnson, Fred Bugbee, Todd London, and Christopher Norton.

Today I continue performing and making music while also hosting The Bandwich Tapes, a project that allows me to reconnect with friends, celebrate artists I admire, and share the stories behind the music that inspires me.

Offstage, my most important roles are husband to Lisa and dad to Skyler and Sophia.
