This podcast grew out of my desire to stay connected with the incredible people I’ve met along the way in my musical journey. Many of my guests are friends and collaborators from gigs, sessions, and projects that have shaped who I am as both a musician and a listener. Others are artists who have influenced me deeply, musicians I’ve admired for years, or even new voices I’ve recently become a fan of. Together, they represent the people and sounds that continue to inspire me, and I’m grateful for the chance to share their stories here.

Music has been a constant in my life from the very beginning. I grew up in a family of instrumentalists and singers, recorded my first album at the age of five, and another by eleven. Percussion became my passion in middle school and carried me into years of study and performance. I was fortunate to learn at places like Brevard Music Center, Chautauqua Institution, and Belmont University, under the guidance of remarkable teachers including Steve Pharris, Tim Howard, John Mote, Jack Bell, Massie Johnson, Fred Bugbee, Todd London, and Christopher Norton.

Today, I call St. Louis home, where I continue making music as a drummer, bass player, and singer. Offstage, my favorite roles are husband to Lisa and dad to Skyler and Sophia.
